Oct 04, 2021

With a commitment to help the country in its battle against the pandemic, the UDENNA Foundation donated 58 AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines to the city government of Calaca, Batangas to help progress their vaccination drive.

Calaca Mayor Sofronio Leonardo “Nas” C. Ona, Jr.  is grateful for the Foundation's donation, “Taos puso po kaming nagpapasalamat sa UDENNA Foundation para sa mga bakunang ito. These will protect the lives of many Calaqueños and give them a better chance in fighting COVID-19”.

“We are glad that we’re able to make the vaccine more accessible to more people, even just by a bit. Each of us plays an important role in the Philippines’ road to recovery so we should help however we can, and get inoculated”, said UDENNA Foundation President Cherylyn C. Uy.

“With the increasing number of Filipinos left vulnerable in these unprecedented times, it is clear that getting vaccinated is a key pillar in rising stronger from the pandemic and saving lives and livelihoods. We encourage everyone to do their part and get vaccinated as soon as possible,” shared Udenna Group Chairman and CEO Dennis Uy.

The UDENNA Foundation is hopeful that as Filipinos work in solidarity in ending the pandemic, a strong recovery lies ahead for the Philippines.
