Udenna Corporation, founded March 19, 2002 by Davao City businessman Dennis Uy, recently celebrated 20 years of service to the Filipino people through a virtual gathering online of its employees, partners and leaders last March 21, 2022.

The 20^th anniversary celebration, titled “Memories and Dreams”, featured messages of gratitude and appreciation from long tenured employees for its founder, recounting his early days as President of Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, Inc., Udenna Corporation’s first organized unit.

“What I’ve admired most about Dennis the past 20 years, apart from his determination and relentlessness at seeking and seizing opportunities, is that he is principled,” shared Atty. Raymond T. Zorrilla, Senior Vice President for External Affairs at Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, Inc. “Above everything, he has continued to stay humble, a father to his family, a man for his employees, with a heart for the underprivileged.”

“I feel humbled and grateful as I look back at the past, seeing how much we’ve grown over the years, our solid team, and the many challenges we overcame. I am most especially grateful to you, my UDENNA family, for joining me and persevering. I, alone, could not have made it this far,” Uy shared in his message to the group.

“We journeyed together with grit and grace, as we built UDENNA. We invested in the Filipino more, placed our trust in the Filipino talent, addressed the gaps in the market, and have done our fair share in strengthening Philippine business. Let us continue to stay hungry, seek new and better ways of doing sustainable business, and ultimately become an indispensable partner in nation building. Abante, Udenna!” added Uy.

In addition to the warm messages, Guest Speaker Mr. Francis J. Kong, previous recipient of The Outstanding Filipino (TOFIL) Award in 2014, held a talk on success, passion, productivity, gratitude and meaningful work to inspire members of the Udenna Corporation to achieve even greater heights in the coming years.

To cap things off, Mr. Raymundo Martin M. Escalona, Udenna Corporation President, shared “I am grateful to be part of this hardworking team, deeply rooted in our values and commitment to help build the nation. Let’s keep the Udenna fire burning, and remain faithful in finding creative and sustainable solutions for generations to come.”
