Enderun Colleges recently welcomed United States Ambassador to the Philippines Sung Kim to its McKinley Hill Taguig campus.

Kim talked about US-Philippines relations including the US Embassy’s important milestones in helping improve the quality of education in the country and future opportunities for students.

Kim was appointed to his post in 2016 as nominated by then President Barack Obama. Previously, Kim served as Special Representative for North Korea Policy and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Korea and Japan.

“My assignment in the Philippines, I believe, has been the most rewarding and most special for me,” he said. “I’m constantly impressed by the beauty of this place, its resilience, the warmth of the Filipino people, and most importantly, the relationship between our two countries. The Philippines is the US’ oldest treaty ally in the whole Asia Pacific region.”

Enderun Colleges president Dr. Edgardo Rodriguez said, “We are honored to welcome US Ambassador to the Philippines Sung Kim to Enderun Colleges. He has imparted a lot of insights about the Philippines, its people and the many opportunities the future holds for Enderun students with the help of the US Embassy.”

Also in attendance were Enderun Colleges cofounder and senior vice president Danny Pere, culinary head chef Cheong Yan See, college and high school students, and officers from the US Embassy.
