Phoenix Petroleum Extends Aid to Quake Victims in Mindanao

Phoenix Petroleum, through the Phoenix Philippines Foundation, extended help to the victims affected by the recent earthquakes and subsequent after-shocks that struck North Cotabato. 


On November 6, 2019, the company turned over relief goods to the local government unit of the Municipality of Makilala for proper documentation and distribution. Over 1,000 families will each receive a pack of rice, canned goods, and waterproof canvas. Phoenix employees and their direct family members who were affected will be also be receiving food packs.


Makilala is one of the four areas in North Cotabato that was hit hardest by the tremors, while the other three areas are Kidapawan City, and the towns of Tulunan and M’lang.



A truck filled with sacks of rice, boxes of canned goods, and waterproof canvas travels from Davao City to the Municipality of Makilala.



Upon arrival in Makilala, volunteers help in transferring the relief goods to the designated drop-off location of donations.



The municipal hall of Makilala was one of the buildings in the area that severely damaged by the earthquakes.
